P.O./ single editions — Michele Bressan

photographic objects 2021 - onging / These are individual works that come to form a series through a kind of alliance. They reflect my interest in recent years in exploring the possibilities of the photographic image, particularly its materiality. I have conceived of photographs as elements within a broader framework, integrated into custom-made frames, structures, or installations with which they form a whole. I have explored the transition from photographs to photographic objects that occupy space differently, becoming sculptural presences. These works also engage with the idea of uniqueness, moving away from the logic of photographic reproducibility and multiplication. Most are not editioned, as they are conceived not as photographs but as unique works in which photography is used as a material.
